Publishing in Social Science History

Simone Wegge, City University of New York (CUNY)

As the official journal of the Social Science History Association, Social Science History is a forum for historical scholarship from scholars across a wide range of academic fields. Presently, the journal publishes six different types of articles, including research articles, presidential addresses, book symposia, special section articles, special issue articles, and review essays. This session at SSHA will discuss and explore these six article types; each discussant will tackle one of the article types and provide advice on getting it published in Social Science History. If time permits, discussion will ensue on how Social Science History could evolve to be of further value to the SSHA membership, a group with diverse and wide-ranging interests and one open to cross-disciplinary discussions.
